“You Are The Master” was originally a ballad by Tanya Reed, a Chicago-based Jazz singer, classically trained by the late great Betty Carter. The responsible for this remake is Anthony Nicholson, with the help of William Kurk, who has reworked it in true Miquifaye fashion: gorgeous synth and keys in a warm percussive groove. Beautiful record.
