The first Grooveland release for this year is “The Theme” by english trio Soulbasics (Steve Fox, Matt Bell and Nick Dobinson). Three mixes are available: “SB Lounge Mix”, a happy jazzy number with a strong bassline and infectious trumpet, flute and keys, “SB Deep Mix”, a truly deep affair for those treasured sunset moments, and “SB Broken Mix”, a jazzy broken variation.
With forthcoming releases by Dom Navarra (mixes by e.deep and Charles Spencer) and Tarek (mixes by John Kumahara and Ian Friday), Grooveland is definitely a label to watch for in 2007.
