The second release on vinyl from Sophisticado is “After Da Rain” by South African duo Deep Xcape (George Maduna and Dumisani Socatcha). The track is a perfect fusion of jazz and house, a really fantastic music exercise that has timeless written all over it. Label head Vick Lavender gives his sophisticated touch to the track with a mutant bass-line, superb jazzy keys and organ ride by Vijay Tellis-Nayak, all over richly textured drums. Essential.
