Japan’s Rhythm Of Elements return with another E.P. that display their versatility and belief in the many forms that soulful music can take. Produced by Masahiko Uchikawa and Hide Koyama, “Tribe #3” (a tribute to the late departed Detroit artist Aaron Carl who sadly passed away last year) is an astonishing jazzy track with piano by Makoto Kuriya and bass by Incognito’s Francis Hylton. Continuing the Detroit connection, Rick Wilhite provides the remix. “Blow” is another journey into a percussive horn driven groove for the dancefloor while “Meditation Bath” closes the record with a relaxing vibe.
