DJ Deep's Deeply Rooted House imprint returns with another tasty record.
The first track on “The 4 Colors EP” is “Back to the Raw” in a previously unreleased mix. Despite his success as dj and producer, Kerri Chandler has always remained true to the spirit of the underground which made him a truly house legend. The second track is “Oh Yes” by Manoo from Rodamaal (check those keys… sick!), then we have “Gisele” by DJ Bertrand (from Nantes, not the one of Distance, Substance and Fairway compilations!) and, finally, “Bring it”, a dope track by the NextMoov founder.

Originally produced in Germany by Michael Schreiber (aka King DK), this soulful song with vocals by Claudia Fink is now released with remixes by Tinderbox (Alan Russell and Al Robertson). The “Tinderbox Vocal Mix”, with funky bass, guitar and deep keys, has been licensed to many compilations even before it's release.

The Enigma project is back, after the amazing “Man on Fire/Smooth” on Eargasmic Records. Co-produced by Chicago House legend Glenn Underground, “Esta Noche” features male spoken words, snappy percussion, melodic keys and a TB-303 styled bass line. Under his moniker CVO, Glenn Underground is responsible for the incredible remix, a driven affair with synthesisers and chords. This record also includes a remix by Rick Miranda.

Japan’s Studio Apartment team up with Ananda Project vocalist, Terrance Downs, on their stunning song, “We Are Lonely”. Deep & silky lyrics over latin beats and beautiful piano riffs are the main elements of the beautiful soulful "Original Mix", while Quentin Harris provides two great remixes. A "Vocal Mix" with organic tribal beats and elegant organ swells and a very old-school sounding "Dub", with spoken words and a tougher dimension. Beautiful record.

	Mr. V The Drum Vega

Long time after the huge hype around “The Drum” by Mr. V, the record will be finally released on Vega Records. Honestly, I can’t understand such a big delay and, in this situation, I think it will have notorious effect on the sales. As Jihad Muhammad said in his DeeperSoul Interview, and I absolutely agree, [about file sharing and less sales] “some labels not putting out the music until a year later plays a part of the problem”.

Muito tempo depois do hype em volta deste tema ter chegado ao máximo, o disco vai finalmente sair na Vega Records. Não entendo o que leva uma editora a prender tanto tempo um tema. “The Drum” de Mr.V teve grande projecção em várias rádios especializadas e em dj mixes, arrastando-se nesses meios um sem número de meses. Será que agora o disco vai ter as vendas que merece?

O festival dedicado ao Deep/Soulful House contou com as prestações de Tony Humphries (um dos responsáveis pela selecção e mistura do CD alusivo ao evento), Joe Claussell, Franck Roger, Gilles Peterson, Tortured Soul, Karizma (um set memorável, segundo consta), Kerri Chandler, Timmy Regisford, Spinna, entre muitos outros. 	Marlon D vs Dennis Ferrer The Breeze City Deep

This track was already mentioned here on DeeperSoul some time ago, but now I bring it up again because the 12” was finally released. New York's producers Marlon D and Dennis Ferrer are the responsible for this underground joint, using some dope beats and vocals (by Dennis Ferrer himself!) before the keys and synth comes in to create something like an orgasm in our ears! This is the second release from Halo’s label City Deep, after the success of “This Love” by Halo & Sidestreet Players.

This beautiful track by Vision Questa, a collective of Japanese artists, receives the Frankie Feliciano remix treatment for its release on Nite Grooves. Felicano's Vocal remix is outstanding, with a warm percussive groove, infectious bassline, jazzed- out piano keys, atmospheric pads and that sweet and intense vocal preformance provided by Eiko Obara. Also included is the Feliciano's instrumental, beats, and Keyapella, as well as the Vision Questa original version.

	Afromento Kumba Blockheadz

This is the new release from the french label Blockheadz recordings with the duo Hedi & Fudge, after the last ep called "ramaya". You will find on this record four exellent tracks with special afro and percussions vibes, especially on the first track, "human wave" (sample1), the most dancefloor track of this vinyl with an afro-groovy rhythmic, catchy bass and some dreaming background vocals, it just keep your soul in action. The second, "kumba" (sample2), is more down tempo but so smooth and so sweet, with hypnotic percussions and some afro lyrics made by Fudge. On the other side, two more tracks. On the first you will be able to visit the "rumbe street" (sample3), it's a wicked groove or even percussions dialogue. Congas and timbales are rolling away into this street. The last one is an afro-deep and mental track who will make you pass from the (rumba) street to amazonian forest (sample4).
