Spending the summer of 2002 in the island of Naxos in Greece, Swedish Josephine at the age of 17, found herself being hit by the power of deep house music, which has since then played a major role in her life. This led her to get behind the decks as a warm-up in Naxos Island in the summer of 2005 and also to make more and more creative musical connections in Naxos as well as Athens.

After spending the winter of 2005/2006 in her native city Stockholm and hooking up with fellow deep house fan dj Nikki, Josephine moved back to Athens in the spring of 2006 working with PR for urban culture magazine Ozon. During this time she continued her musical networking in Greece and spent the summer of 2006 in Naxos Island as a resident in newly opened Mojo bar. Currently she is hosting the “Midweek Soul” nights at bar Centro in Stockholm together with dj Nikki, and from mid-October she will be a warm-up resident at the Music For Us nights - Athens, Greece (www.musicforus.net).

A great track to start any mixed cd off if you are a recording fiend…it gives you a building sensation of sounds with a bassline that engages you...I can't get over how amazing Colette's voice truly is...every time I hear her voice I grab my heart and my turntable...she never let's me down...it's just that good...

This production would make a perfect gift to another soulful DJ or anyone you want to share words with...you could pick and choose which ballads you want to mix into and out of...choose your own message because whatever you decide there is so much being said even in the chorus...even though the sexy hotness of the words would make anyone melt, it's truly a stellar production that brings the tones in harmony...

A bumpin techie approach to such a soulful track makes me want to stand right by a speaker and close my eyes as I dance...what a interesting and deep way to build a house track...it has a jazzy subtleness with techie undertones giving this remix a bumpy and even a big room feel in your headphones for those sultry listeners out there...

"Do what you know" was originaly released on compu_sol and now sees the light of day on Oliver Desmets label, Amenti.
This record is what can only be described as genius, a blissed out vocal cut superbly layered with haunting guitar samples and vocal hooks.
This time around you get 3 versions, Original Take Mix, Mario Fabriani & Olivier Desmet Remix and,Jupiter Dub.
The original take mix is the biz! and worth its purchase alone, but you get the OD remix too where things take on a slightly more jacked up feel, with less vocal and deeper bass for a floor killer.
Rounded off with the jupiter dub, which does exactly what it says but somewhat strips too much of the glorious flavour for me.
Great deep house records like this dont come along that often so dont miss it.

	The Kings of Late Night feat. Billy Love Fly Away EP West End Blue

Mel Cheren launches his label's new offshoot, West End Blue, with the Fly Away EP, a four-track compilation of jazzy dance music, more abstract than the uplifting, soulful house path West End Records usually walk. It's The Life is a plodding deep house number, devoid of any excitement and a remarkably bland opening track to this exciting project.

On the flip, Norm Talley spices thing up with his West End Blue interpretations of the EP's title track, Fly Away. Inspiring lyrics float over staccato drum loops, creating a lush nu-jazz warmth that beautifully wraps up Billy 'Love' Beaver's shimmering vocals. And then from nowhere the drum kick drops into an intricate, off-centre rhythm, glittering with LaFrance Harper's soothing guitar solo and the angelic harmonies of backing vocal group, Members of the House. Talley's West End Lounge Mix strips away the drums and makes the keys and vocals more prominent in the mix, delivering a wonderfully mellow rendition of Beaver's emotive love song.

Also included is an addictive bonus track; Theo Parrish's Sound Signature rework of Illumination. With cushioned drums and melting keys, Illumination is worthy of its own 12" release, a luscious groove that shines under the sincere words of Billy 'Love' Beaver.
A varied and forward-thinking release, the Fly Away EP is a sparkling debut for West End's promising new venture.

Ligado à rádio desde os seus 10 anos, MrCool é profissional da área desde 1991, tendo passado por diversos projectos em Lisboa, Porto, Coimbra e Leiria. Em todo o seu percurso, a música de dança teve sempre um lugar relevante, quer através de programas de rádio especializados quer pelo trabalho em diversos bares por onde passou.

Numa dada altura em que a música que ouvia não lhe enchia as medidas, MrCool decidiu explorar outras sonoridades e descobriu o mundo das netlabels, dedicando-lhes o Deep&Lounge que em breve vai ter a sua estreia, em formato rádio, na Estação FM (Aveiro) onde é produtor. Com vários projectos na calha, encontra-se já a desenvolver mais dois programas de rádio dedicados à música de dança: Estação and Friends (com djs convidados) e o House in a House (mini sets).

If I could ever dream of a woman's voice it would be the female voice they poetically overlaid...perfect volume and effects bring the sensuality and sultriness to a peak...definitely a yummy choice of simple words that say what I'm thinking and feeling when I'm listening..."it feels so good"

Whether you are a DJ or not this is one of those tracks you can play over and over again, so buy it...this is a wikked production to get the ladies up and struttin our everythangs...lol...cause you know it's all about us "LAYDEEZ" loosening up on the dancefloor waiting for that house explosion of fire and water...fire for what happens when you have an amazing set...and the water for our fans that need to cool off from the love...just thought I'd add that in there...hahaha

This production uses synths to accentuate the highs and mids giving the effect of trance style breaks but always keeping the dubby sexy goodness...it's a clean production that arouses your senses and gives you a harmonic balance between your eq's...pressing is above average and even the label art is sensual...but you'll have to buy it see as it's suggestive but truly high class fetish for sure..."yah baby"

De vez em quando aparecem discos assim. Não são destinados ao sucesso nem tão pouco a grandes salas mas têm uma incrível capacidade de encantamento. Gosto de me referir a eles como “pérolas”.
Considero, por conseguinte, o tema “Viva” uma pérola. A excelência do jazz combinada com a energia da House Music, não encontro outra maneira de o descrever…

Ahni, my name is DJ KWE and I’ve been djing for 3 years but experiencing electronic music since ’95. Not too mention the countless classic house parties we had in high school back when it was “new” house music. Yes I may be seasoned, but with all the right sweets & spices, sexiness & sass!
I was born in North Vancouver BC, Canada and now currently reside in the heart of Toronto ON, Canada. I'm working hard as a DJ, Producer, WebSite Coordinator, Writer/Colomnist, Photographer, Voice Talent, Motivational Speaker and a Soccer Player.

Michele Benotto (aka Miche) was born in Turin (Piemonte - Italy).
In '99 Miche began his dj career at the age of 14; a career influenced mostly by soul, jazz, afro, funk, r&b, hip-hop (etc..etc..) Subsequently his love for the deep, funky, latin & soulful house increased so much, becoming a passion. These are the kinds that characterize his dj sets, a mixture of energetic funk, vocal, deep, soulful and latin vibes.
He also loves to play in lounge clubs & jazz-cafè, where he selects bossanova, nu-jazz, chillout, afro-house and other stuff.
In 2004 he created the Pleasure House blog in wich he promotes and provides the latest charts and mixes by a massive number of producer and deejays from the soulful house scene.

Através da utilização de vários instrumentos, ambas as versões são capazes de deliciar os que apreciam o house mais orgânico. Trompete (por Mark Ledford), piano e teclas (por David Vasquez), guitarra, flauta, percussão e uma sedutora linha de baixo, tudo disposto com mestria por Darrell Edwards (DJ Rain), são os elementos que caracterizam o tema. Caso existisse um prémio de produtividade no deep/soulful house, o francês Franck Roger seria um sério candidato a ganhá-lo neste ano. Real Tone, Kenlou e Seasons Limited são somente algumas das editoras que já lançaram produções suas em 2005. O homem está “on fire”!
Em “Jeware”, Franck Roger concentrou-se em múltiplos elementos de percussão, evocando influências tribais. Não se pense com isto que o tema é mais uma daquelas batucadas chatas, nada disso…
